North Devon Animal Ambulance - How can You help?

There’s never been a better time to get involved with the work of the North Devon Animal Ambulance (NDAA), one of North Devon’s best-loved registered charities.

All money donated or raised through NDAA fundraising activities (special events, collections and the NDAA charity shops) is used to care for the animals.
Unlike some animal charity organisations, the NDAA doesn’t have any paid employees – and we don't intend to in the future!

Quite simply, our work for North Devon animals wouldn't be possible without the generous volunteer help and fundraising efforts from the local community –YOU!

The number of animals needing rescue is increasing.
No matter how carefully we manage our funds and prioritise allocation of money, the North Devon Animal Ambulance relies on a continuous stream of funds. It's another way that you can help our work for North Devon animals.

How can I help?

There are many ways that you can help the NDAA.

Come to an NDAA fundraising event – buy and give generously

Every year sees many NDAA fundraising events across the county. Visit the NDAA website regularly and watch the local media for announcements. Then come along and join in the fun!

Volunteer your time to help at an NDAA event or at our charity shops

We're always keen to hear from enthusiastic volunteers who could give a few hours to help in one of our shops. Our main shop is based in Barnstaple at 1 Moxham Court, Silver Street, EX32 8HR.  Our second shop, opened in February, is up by the Pannier Market at Bideford, 7 Grenville Street, EX39 2EA, and we have, in March, opened our third shop at Braunton, Unit 1, Cross Tree Centre, EX33 1AA.

Alternatively, please come along and browse the constantly changing range of quality items on sale at the shops. Or donate good condition items that we can sell.

Hold your own NDAA fundraising event

Could you make something to sell, bake a cake or come up with a new fundraising idea! Everything helps, from a cake or a jar of jam to an international fundraising trip like the one that Devon's Keith Pugsley recently made to raise funds for the animal ambulance. Whether you bake a cake or drive to Africa, you know that every single penny raised goes to help Devon's animals.

Join the NDAA 100 Club

Members of the NDAA 100 Club pay £5 per month to the NDAA and have the chance of winning £100 in our monthly draws.

Make a donation
Every donation makes a difference (and every penny goes on the animals). What's even more helpful are regular donations by standing order. These give you a safe, cost effective and easy way to make a regular contribution to saving animals in North Devon – and provide the secure funding which helps us to plan ahead. If you would like to donate, please ask us for a Gift Aid form so your gift will be increased by 20p for every £1.00 you give to help North Devon animals.

By Standing Order

Include a legacy in your will
What better way could there be to say 'thank you' to a lifetime of pleasure from Devon's animals than to include a legacy in your will. Please ask us for advice about the most effective way to do this.

How will you help?
So, how are you going to contribute to the work of the North Devon Animal Ambulance? If you just can't wait to get involved through fundraising, rehoming an animal or making a donation, please contact us now!
